There are a hundred and one digital ways to document your life these days, but not a single one of them trumps a unique, creative alternative you can hold in your hands. Illustrative journaling not only helps capture a season of your life, it also serves as a working idea book and an intentional call to your practice.
In this class, led by our resident illustrator Abbi Eccleston, we’ll discuss and experiment with ways to create beautiful journal spreads using unique prompts, multiple mediums, and plenty of creative fun! The result is both a work in progress and a place to archive your memories and track your progress as an artist.
Bring your own journal (be sure it has watercolor paper!), or purchase one at the shop the day of. We will provide lots of art supplies to test out, but feel free to bring any additional materials you plan to use as you continue your journaling practice at home (a watercolor or gouache set, favorite pencil or colored pencils, markers).
