Shortly after I opened the shop, a friend told me I had to read this book. It's been on our shop shelves ever since. The compiled letters of Helene Hanff, an American writer, and the staff of Marks & Co. Booksellers in London (especially one Frank Doel), they span a 20 year timeframe, including some years of rationing after WWII, and the warmth which springs from these letters is deeply moving, especially given that they never met. This book is a memorable treasure that you will love instantly and keep forever.
