A unique format is an immediate invitation to read, I think, so this tall, narrow book mimicking the shape of an elevator was reason enough to pique my interest. When Cora and her dog hop on the elevator to take a walk, picking up other residents of the building on their ride (including small twins!), things get a little worrisome when the elevator stalls. But with some quick-thinking from an elderly neighbor, the twins are entertained, cake is shared, and everyone ends up happy. And look at the back cover for a very special surprise!
