Brush calligraphy is a contemporary, informal, and expressive lettering style that is easy to personalize and useful for so many kinds of projects--in this case, holiday cards!
We will start the class with a brief look at historical letterforms to see how they relate to our contemporary versions. We'll then use both brushes and brush markers to learn the basic shapes of both lower- and uppercase brush calligraphy letters.
To finish up the class, we will use our new skills to practice addressing holiday cards, so bring a few addresses along! Supplies are included in the cost of tuition, and beginners are welcome.
