In the difficult year of 2021, the shop received a delightful surprise in the mail: an advanced reader copy of Better Than the Movies by one Lynn Painter. She explained that she shared it with us because she had written this--her first novel--longhand on notebooks that she loved from the shop. We passed that exceptionally sweet YA romance around the staff and then hosted Lynn for her first-ever book signing. Since then, Lynn's writing career has exploded, but she is generously returning to Ashland to celebrate the release of Nothing Like the Movies, the sequel to the novel that started it all. Join us for a reading and signing at the Ashland Public Library, and then a reception afterward at Postscript, where you can purchase Lynn's Favorite Notebook™, personalize it with romance-inspired stickers made by our very own Abbi Eccleston, and delight in the company of fellow fans of rom-coms.
