Book Post: The Matchbox Diary
One of the very best things we can give our children is access to a library full of books that make their hearts swell and their imaginations soar. Books that are a delight for parents and kids alike. The good news is that the world is full of extraordinarily gorgeous picture books. It's just a matter of finding them!
This happens to be something I care about deeply, and I have spent years learning about, seeking out, and curating a collection of children's books for the shop that I believe are worth having in home libraries.
I'd love to share them with you and the beloved kids in your life through Book Post, a monthly picture book delivery service!
The Matchbox Diary, written by Paul Fleischman and illustrated by Bagram Ibatoulline, will be our May selection. The book will be accompanied by a letter that is typed on my manual typewriter, reproduced, and customized with the child's first name. And this particular book will come with a tiny matchbox that can be used to start the reader's own diary!
